The NPLQ is a nationally reconised Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
The course is a 5 day course (36hours) with option of bolt ons including First Aid, AED and Anaphylaxis.
Pre Requisites to attend this course are:
- Must be 16 years of age at time of exam
- Jump/Dive into Deep Water
- Swim 50m in less than 60 seconds
- Swim 100m continuously on front and back in deep water
- Tread water for 30 seconds
- Surface dive to the deepest part of pool floor
- Climb out of the pool without steps where pool desgin permits

Throughout the course duration you will be taught about the following:
- Section 1 - Lifeguard and the Law
- Section 2 - Intervention, Rescue and Emergency Action Plan
- Section 3 - CPR and First Aid
For this course there will be an independent examination on the last day of the course.
